Harness Lead

has anyone got a pet rat who likes to go on a harness and lead? Iv read that a lot of peoples rats HATE going on harness and leads and often wriggle out of them. I want to buy one because in the summer i would love to take my rats out to play in the garden on the grass etc and obviously i dont want to loose my ratties! So it would be great to use. So does anyones rats like leads? And stay in their harnesses? And which is the best type to buy? Thanks No offence Generation, but i asked about rat harnesses, not about keeping rats in general, im not a new rat owner, i have 8 rats, kept in seperate cages like you. Although im sure the info you gave would be great, please read the question in future. Mine hate them, period. They hated me trying to put them on (which was a pain but I thought maybe they'd like walking around) and they were very scared to be in it. They kept running (like a dog on a leash does) forward, to a closed in space. The whole experience lasted around 5 minutes, and was a waste of my money. Another hard part is the size. No one really makes harnesses for rats in stores, so you have to get ferret / guinea pig ones. Which don't fight that snugly. I luckily tested it in my bathroom, so when Dash wriggled out nothing bad happened. Andy D
